What you'll do

  • Support the definition and maintenance of data ownership, stewardship responsibilities, business terms, data definitions, and usage rules across assigned domains;
  • Maintain and enrich the enterprise data catalog and business glossary, ensuring metadata, classifications, lineage, and ownership information remain accurate and up to date;
  • Collaborate with data owners, business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and data engineers to define data quality expectations, business rules, validation criteria, and remediation processes;
  • Monitor data quality issues, support root-cause analysis, track remediation actions, and escalate recurring or high-impact issues through governance forums;
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders on data definitions, ownership decisions, data quality thresholds, and reporting requirements;
  • Create guidance, templates, documentation, and training materials to support the adoption of stewardship practice.

What you'll need

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Management, Business Analysis, or related fields;
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, data quality, and data ownership concepts;
  • Experience with data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview, Azure Purview, Unity Catalog, or similar;
  • Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft 365;
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills;
  • English fluency;
  • Nice to have: experience with enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, compliance and data privacy regulations such as GDPR or HIPAA, certifications like CDMP, DCAM or CBAP, and knowledge of data mesh, data fabric, or federated governance practices.
