Last Saturday, March 25th, Teleperformance Volunteer organized an afternoon of gaming and lots of fun for vulnerable children and young people.

This activity was part of the Citizen of the World program – Teleperformance’s initiative that seeks to generate a positive impact on local communities. Through fundraising, in-kind donation, and volunteer work, COTW aims to create a positive impact for vulnerable children and their families.

Spreading Smiles at Esports Arena

About 35 children and young people participated in this initiative which also brought together volunteers from Teleperformance. Even though not everyone spoke the same language, Gaming was the universal language at the Arena. The scenario chosen for this activity was Teleperformance’s space to host teams and competitions of gamers.

The activity took place with two NGOs with which Teleperformance has long-standing partnerships: Instituto de Apoio à Criança (IAC) and Ajuda de Berço.

Our employees contributed with 160 hours of voluntary work, taken out of their personal time, to provide a different Saturday for these children. There was plenty of fun both on and off screens and the enthusiasm between the participants was evident, with many asking when they could come again.

During this activity, painting materials and games were also donated. These will be sent to children’s spaces in Portuguese health centers and hospitals, promoted by IAC.

This was the second volunteering edition to take place at TP’s gaming arena. On the first edition, which took place in October 2022, TP donated backpacks with school supplies to 48 children in need.

Teleperformance volunteer: focus on people

At Teleperformance, our main ambition is to create meaningful connections between people. Not only among the employees who work with us but also with the people with whom we collaborate in volunteer actions. Find out more about our activities in Portugal and around the world.
